Raisonnable's worldwide service and long afterlife

Raisonnable's later career shows an Ardent-class hull moving repeatedly between fleet battles, distant stations, guard duties, and decades of service as a receiving ship.

Notes

After the Penobscot Expedition, HMS Raisonnable remained active whenever war demanded it. She fought at Copenhagen and Cape Finisterre and served as far away as the Cape of Good Hope. Her varied employment shows how a ship of the line could alternate between combat, assistance, and wider imperial duties over a long career. She became a receiving ship in 1810 and survived in that role until being broken up in 1850, giving the design an unusually long institutional afterlife.
