Question

What science fiction can viewers watch for good capital-ship combat?

Short answer

The list includes The Expanse, selected moments of Battlestar Galactica, Stargate, and Babylon 5, while rejecting Star Trek and treating Star Wars as space fantasy.

Notes

The answer is deliberately qualified rather than naming one perfect depiction. The Expanse is described as acceptable, and Battlestar Galactica as having worthwhile moments. Stargate and Babylon 5 receive positive mentions when they stage capital-ship combat. Star Trek is rejected for this purpose, while Star Wars is characterized as space fantasy rather than a reliable guide to naval logic. Together these recommendations offer a short comparative viewing list after the detailed Star Wars critique.
