Probably to Australia first and then into the Eastern Fleet, potentially under Tom Phillips if he also survived.

A surviving Prince of Wales and Force Z would probably fall back toward Australia after Singapore was lost. From there the battleship would most likely join the Eastern Fleet rather than transfer permanently into the US Pacific Fleet. Admiral Tom Phillips, if he also survived, might command that fleet in place of James Somerville. Australia offered a practical recovery point within a continuing British command structure in the Indian Ocean and Pacific war.
