Primary-source limits shape Commonwealth coverage

Planned Canadian and Australian sections were removed because direct archival research was unavailable.

Notes

Planned chapters on Canadian and Australian destroyers were dropped because the relevant archives could not be visited. Some points still had to depend on other scholars, with acknowledgement in the notes, but wholly derivative national chapters were considered unsuitable. The decision shows the practical boundary that archive access can place on a naval history. It also explains why those Commonwealth stories remained plans for a later, expanded book.
