Hiddensee is worth preserving but not the last Tarantul-class survivor

Hiddensee should be preserved, although other preserved and active examples reduce the risk of losing the class entirely.

Question

What are your thoughts on scrapping the museum ship Hiddensee?

Short answer

It should be preserved if possible, although other preserved and operational Tarantul-class ships mean the design itself is not about to disappear.

Notes

The ship is identified as an East German Tarantul-class missile corvette. Dr. Clarke would prefer to see it preserved because he dislikes the loss of museum ships. Roughly eighty members of the class were built, and examples remain active in Russian and Vietnamese service. Hiddensee is therefore historically valuable without being the sole surviving representative of the design.
