What makes a warship project presence

A presence ship should look well armed yet spacious, as if it could carry more weapons but does not need to. It must impress during a peaceful visit while retaining enough credible combat power to make the visit politically meaningful. That visual balance communicates confidence, reserve capacity, and latent force as much as the weapon count itself.
