Sixth rates and smaller vessels are organized separately before the whole force attacks a pirate galleon. The target has only thirteen of sixty guns working, so this is a concentrated attack on a damaged but potentially valuable opponent. It is not a balanced fleet action. After the victory, the captured ship joins the fleet, linking tactical success directly to fleet expansion and prize-taking.
