Using photographs and maps to follow a destroyer class

The book aims to show every Royal Navy ship in the classes and uses a Second Battle of Narvik map to anchor their operational story.

Notes

The book was planned around an attempt to include at least one image of every class member that served in the Royal Navy, within the limits of available space. This breadth lets readers follow the classes as groups alongside their best-known ships. The Second Battle of Narvik map comes from Marcus Faulkner's work because it offered the clearest available depiction of the action. A photograph of HMS Cossack closes this portion of the tour. The images and map tie individual hulls to the operational geography of destroyer warfare.
