Piorun's later campaigns and return as HMS Noble

After Malta, Sicily and Normandy operations, Piorun returned to British service as HMS Noble and remained unconverted before scrapping.

Notes

Piorun supported Operation Halberd's Malta convoy, the invasion of Sicily, and the Battle of Ushant while protecting the Normandy landings. Her sustained wartime service earned her Polish crew considerable respect in the Royal Navy and among the British public. Originally named HMS Nerissa before Polish service, she returned to the Royal Navy as HMS Noble. The destroyer was considered for conversion into a fast anti-submarine vessel, remained unconverted, and was scrapped in 1955.
