Chapter · 55:04-59:22

A superweapon without employment doctrine

A weapon’s destructive power does not create strategy; commanders need clear criteria and political guidance for its use.

Notes

The Commonwealth fields nova bombs across its premier cruisers while offering no settled doctrine for when they may be used. That omission leaves commanders without criteria for first use, last resort, prohibited targets, or acceptable political authority. Officers then possess either dangerously broad discretion or a capability their service culture makes effectively unusable. The gap resembles a national leader leaving a strategic-deterrent command letter blank: technical custody cannot replace political responsibility.
