The Patria NEMO automatic mortar has attracted several attempts to mount it on vessels. Sweden's planned Combat Boat 2010 was to carry the system, but the project was cancelled when Sweden decided against buying the mortar. A return to that idea is suggested as a possibility. For British ground forces, a NEMO-equipped Boxer is a personal recommendation based on the usefulness of mobile mortar firepower. That preference is distinct from a confirmed British procurement decision.
