Could Nelson's fleet fight at Lissa?

Could Nelson win at Lissa with his Trafalgar fleet?

Possibly, but explosive shells and the change of era would create serious problems.

Nelson's tactical ability does not settle this counterfactual. Explosive shells and other changes in warfare would confront his fleet with threats outside its own period. The possibility of victory is left open without a firm prediction.
