Military strength is cumulative

National capacity and collective skill matter more to military strength than stereotypes about the physical power of individual service members.

Notes

Admitting particular groups into an armed force does not necessarily make it look weak. Wars are not decided by the sheer physical strength of isolated individuals. Military power accumulates across a nation's people and organized armed forces. Intelligence and judgment matter at least as much as muscle in modern service. A deterrent should be judged by collective capability rather than stereotypes about who appears physically formidable.
