Plans for Narvik's eightieth anniversary

Work on a Narvik book was already underway, while a fuller presentation of the Norwegian and British actions would wait until the battles and ships could be illustrated properly.

Question

What are you doing for the eightieth anniversary of the Battle of Narvik?

Short answer

Work on a Narvik book was already underway, and fuller presentations would wait until the Norwegian and British actions could be illustrated properly.

Notes

Work on a book about Narvik was already underway. The planned presentations would cover the Norwegian resistance first, then the British H-class action, followed by the Tribal-class and other destroyers with HMS Warspite in the third battle. HMS Eskimo's loss of her bow and HMS Cossack's charge into a harbour were among the ship stories planned for closer treatment. Eskimo lost her bow three times during her service and already had a four-part series on Global Maritime History. The fuller presentations would wait until the actions could be illustrated clearly enough.
