Question

How likely was a modern Royal Navy Tribal class judged to be in 2020?

Short answer

A revived Tribal class seemed unlikely, while Battle-class names for the Type 31 frigates appeared more plausible in this 2020 exchange.

Notes

A renewed Tribal connection was welcome in this 2020 discussion, while a Battle-class naming scheme seemed more plausible for the Type 31 frigates. The prediction records a view of naval naming culture at that time rather than current fleet policy.
