Mission fit drives the cruiser layout

Anti-submarine, anti-air, surface, disaster-relief, diplomatic, and boarding missions each demand different space and equipment.

Notes

A cruiser cannot be designed around weapons alone. Its mission mix can alter its helicopters, boats, guns, sensors, crew size, accommodation, and space for relief supplies. Diplomatic visits and maritime-security boardings are real design requirements alongside combat tasks. Internal volume and personnel margins therefore matter as much as the headline weapon fit.
