Sea Eagle missiles and a larger Sea Harrier strike

Sea Eagle's guidance and warhead support the proposed anti-ship role, while the chance of overwhelming Soviet defences remains uncertain.

Notes

The 580 kg Sea Eagle has a 230 kg warhead, a length of 4.14 metres and a 1.2-metre wingspan. Its quoted turbojet performance is more than 110 km of range at around Mach 1. It uses inertial guidance and active radar homing and can fly low. Continued development would probably have kept the weapon useful into the present. A larger Sea Harrier force could launch more missiles against an opposing surface ship. Whether that attack would overwhelm a Kiev or Kirov remains uncertain.
