Chapter · 2:28:24-2:29:15

Massing available tonnage for a priority invasion

A high-priority invasion prompts the concentration of every available regional ship rather than the use of a balanced peacetime distribution.

Notes

Every available ship in the region is committed to a single invasion because partial reinforcement may not produce a winning chance. Additional formations from elsewhere are also considered, since the objective is important enough to justify temporary concentration. An amphibious priority can pull ships away from other tasks and turn raw tonnage into the immediate measure of support. The same ships cannot maintain their previous regional coverage while they mass for the operation.
