No secure photograph of M29 survives, so the video uses her service record to establish the ship's significance. She fought at the Battle of Jaffa, remained in the Mediterranean through 1918, and then supported British and White Russian forces in the White Sea. Conversion to a 52-mine minelayer and later work as a repair and depot ship for submarine flotillas show how the Royal Navy repeatedly adapted the same shallow-draught hull. After naval disposal she became a Greek cargo vessel, was eventually seized with smuggled cigarettes aboard, and was not broken up until the 1970s.
