Could a landing-platform dock serve as a repair ship for uncrewed surface vessels?

Yes. An LPD could use its dock, lifts, gantries, and standardized containers to receive, repair, rearm, and return drones to service.

An amphibious hull could take uncrewed surface vessels aboard, lift them for repair, and return them to service. An internal dry working area and a through-flow arrangement could separate incoming damaged craft from repaired craft leaving the ship. Standardized containers could simplify weapon handling across larger and smaller vessels while allowing common gantries to service both. The idea uses the flexibility of an existing dock-equipped platform for a specialist support task.
