Long-war endurance: rearming ships and rebuilding missile stocks

Long-war planning asks how many complete missile reloads exist, where they are stored and how ships will reach them after their first magazines are empty.

Notes

Long-war planning begins after the first missile load is spent: how many full reloads exist and where are they stored? Escorts may burn fuel and time returning to port, then wait for replacement missiles to be flown or shipped to the right theatre. Guided missiles depend on a more complex supply chain than basic gun ammunition, which can be produced and moved more readily. Magazine depth is therefore tied to ports, transport, industrial replacement rates and the endurance of the wider fleet.
