Phalanx is selected as the practical close-in gun in the proposal, despite a stated preference for Goalkeeper. The 76 mm gun would provide another point-defence layer. CAMM adds a missile layer, while Aster, Aquila and SM-3 are assigned longer-range tasks. Drones are also included in the concept. This is a proposed arrangement whose procurement and integration requirements are not worked through in the exchange.
