A twelve-gun answer to the Admiral-class tradeoff

A redesign of the Admiral class prioritizes twelve 15-inch guns, multiple hulls, and the dry-dock capacity needed to sustain them.

Question

How would the Admiral-class battlecruiser design be improved without simply copying Renown?

Short answer

Use four triple 15-inch turrets, build at least two ships, and expand British dry-dock capacity to support them.

Notes

The proposed redesign accepts battlecruiser-level protection and therefore insists on maximizing the other side of the bargain: speed and firepower. Four triple 15-inch turrets would give a Hood-sized ship twelve heavy guns and a much larger broadside than the historical design. At least two ships would be built so the investment produced an operational force rather than a unique flagship. The answer also adds floating or excavated dry docks in Britain, recognizing that an enlarged warship is not useful if no yard can accommodate it. The exercise links combat design directly to the shore infrastructure needed for maintenance and repair.
