Chapter · 1:14:40-1:16:23

A Trafalgar-scale Jutland ends the war early

The first survival route begins with the High Seas Fleet destroyed at Jutland and Germany subjected to a much tighter blockade.

Notes

The early-peace scenario begins with a Jutland victory on the scale of Trafalgar. Possible changes include Japanese naval participation, better communications from Beatty's staff to Jellicoe, or corrected British shell performance. Destruction of the High Seas Fleet would allow the Royal Navy to force an entry into the Baltic. Cutting Germany's Baltic supplies would tighten the blockade, while the same route could carry supplies to Russia. In this scenario, those consequences bring the war to an end before American entry.
