Jeongjo the Great changes the combat profile by making room for a short-range ballistic missile. Hyunmoo-4's cited 800-kilometre range and 2.5-ton payload require the much larger KVLS-II module. Each four-cell module is approximately 3 by 2.4 by 9.8 metres, consuming substantial hull volume. The resulting fit retains forty-eight forward Mark 41 cells, sixteen Korean VLS cells aft, twenty-four KVLS-II cells, and eight deck-launched anti-ship missiles. Immediate launch capacity falls from Sejong's 144 weapons to 96 in exchange for a much heavier strike option.
