Japan's Singapore campaign without French Indochina

A France still in the war denies Japan the convenient Indochinese bases that supported its rapid move toward Singapore.

Notes

The counterfactual extends beyond Europe because France's survival changes Japan's starting position. Japanese forces historically benefited from access to French Indochina when moving toward Malaya and Singapore. If France still controlled and defended that territory, Japan would have to invade it or find another route before launching the same campaign. Fighting would begin earlier, or the advance would become slower and more complicated. This dependency ties the European outcome directly to the Pacific War.
