French Indochina and Japan's possible war plan

With French Indochina belonging to the Free French in this scenario, Japanese entry would start a war with the Allies earlier. Japan is expected to avoid that early confrontation. If it later attacked Indochina and the Philippines together, that commitment could delay an assault on Malaya and Singapore. The delay would give the Allies more time to reinforce the region. In the most favourable European naval outcome, Force Z could include aircraft carriers and substantially more than two capital ships. This force depends on the earlier chain of naval victories and the ships they release.
