Only one of the three guns is being loaded in the staged image. The teams for the other two weapons, relief personnel for casualties or fatigue, and the people coordinating the full turret are absent. Their omission makes the compartment look far more spacious than it would be in action. The photograph should therefore not be treated as evidence of normal fighting conditions inside a crowded cruiser turret. It reveals how much manpower a publicity image can hide behind a triple six-inch mounting.

A staged Jamaica turret photograph hides the full gun crew
A spacious-looking photograph of Jamaica's triple turret omits most of the people needed to serve all three guns in action.
