The proposed formation gives a Jaffa commander an elite battalion of roughly one thousand troops while making the human regimental commander the brigade's second-in-command. The human regiment supplies two further combat battalions, staff, logistics, and most artillery, with elite heavy artillery retained by the Jaffa. Together they form a self-supporting brigade of roughly four to five thousand personnel rather than a collection of prestige warriors without enough sustainment. Several Ha'taks can land brigades and selected aviation elements, then leave those forces operating independently instead of tying every capital ship to prolonged planetary duty.
