Isaac Sweers served with the 4th Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean and took part in the Battle of Cape Bon. Her share in the result is disputed because the first two Tribal-class destroyers had already launched the torpedoes that largely decided the action. She nevertheless engaged an Italian cruiser with gunfire at short range. She also fired four torpedoes at the Spica-class torpedo boat escorting the Italian cruisers, but all missed. Participation in the battle therefore needs to be distinguished from responsibility for its decisive hits.

Isaac Sweers at Cape Bon: a qualified contribution
Isaac Sweers fired guns and torpedoes at Cape Bon, although the timing of the Tribal-class attacks limits the credit assigned to her for deciding the battle.
