Question

How would the war change if the Imperial Japanese Army and Navy cooperated effectively?

Short answer

Probably not much would change overall, though China and the Allies would probably face a harder fight.

Notes

Better cooperation between Japan's army and navy probably would not change the war against China and the Allies very much overall. It would probably make the Japanese forces harder to fight.
