Types 91 to 94 are ambitions without production-scale funding

The autonomous-systems table is costed against missile cells, hulls, sensors, and the promised family of naval platforms.

Notes

The plan assigns about £1.3 billion over four years to the proposed missile platform, underwater sensor vessels, extra-large underwater vehicles, radar vessels and future combat vessel. Illustrations showing a 96-cell Type 91 imply twelve eight-cell Mark 41 launcher modules. The rough pricing discussion puts that battery alone in the region of £200 million, although the spoken estimates mix dollars and pounds and should not be treated as a settled quotation. Hull, propulsion, computers and command systems would still need funding. Across the wider autonomy table, the explicitly priced entries add up to about £4.83 billion against a claim of more than £5 billion; unpriced entries could account for the balance.
