The scale and danger of a nova bomb

Nova bombs are described as star-destroying weapons whose scale makes their storage, authorization, and employment rules central strategic questions.

Notes

A nova bomb is described as a compact warhead that disrupts a star's gravitational equilibrium and produces a system-destroying stellar event. The fictional technology can also be combined in large numbers against a black hole or used to isolate a system from slipstream. A Glorious Heritage cruiser reportedly carries forty bombs, stored outside missile tubes until launch and controlled through four-officer authorization. That combination of compact size, widespread deployment, and extraordinary effect makes custody and doctrine at least as important as the weapon's mechanism.
