Question

Why is HMS Hood listed as a battleship in the game?

Short answer

There is no good historical reason offered here; Hood was a battlecruiser.

Notes

One game labels HMS Hood as a battleship, but her historical classification was battlecruiser. No historical reason is offered for the game's alternative category. The distinction keeps a simulation's rules separate from the ship's history.
