One photograph labels an Isle-class trawler HMS rather than the expected HMT prefix. Other photographs use both forms, so the wartime convention remains uncertain. The available secondary sources do not settle the question, and the discrepancy may require archival research. Even a ship prefix needs cautious handling when photographs and published accounts disagree.
