From HMS Zinnia to Barbara and Breidel

Royal Navy service ended with a 1920 sale to Belgium. Germany captured the ship in 1940 and renamed her Barbara before she returned to Belgian service as Breidel in 1945.

Notes

Zinnia remained in Royal Navy service until 1920, when Belgium bought her. Germany captured the ship in 1940 and operated her as Barbara. She surrendered to the Allies in 1945, then returned to Belgian service under the name Breidel. Her career ended with scrapping in 1952. The same hull therefore passed through British, Belgian, and German service during a career that crossed both world wars.
