Baltic service without a battle honour

Walker blockaded Kronstadt and survived two hits from a Russian battleship, yet the Baltic campaign remained absent from her formal battle-honour list.

Notes

Operational service and formal battle honours did not always align. While helping blockade the Bolshevik fleet at Kronstadt, Walker was struck twice by the Gangut-class battleship Petropavlovsk. The hits appear to have passed through the destroyer without destroying her. Walker continued Baltic duties from May 1919 and visited Helsinki while Britain signaled support for Finland. Despite surviving battleship fire during the campaign, she did not receive a Baltic battle honour. She returned to Finland in 1926 during an Atlantic Fleet visit.
