Oracle served with the Thirteenth Destroyer Flotilla at Scapa Flow and spent much of her time on anti-submarine duties. In August 1916, she and a sister ship were sent to search for U-52 after it sank Nottingham. They failed to find the submarine but rescued sailors from the cruiser. Oracle continued hunting submarines afterward. Like other members of the class, she had a short postwar life and was sold for breaking up in 1921.
