HMS Endymion from the Boxer Rebellion to Gallipoli

The cruiser helped suppress the Boxer Rebellion and later visited Manila, where shared service supported good relations with American officers. After returning home she entered reserve, then resumed active service when war began. At Gallipoli she received anti-torpedo bulges that improved protection but reduced maximum speed from twenty to sixteen knots. The same ship moved through distant-station diplomacy, coalition operations, reserve readiness, and wartime adaptation.
