The comparison asks how several cruiser designs might fare against a Deutschland-class raider. A Leander is given a fair chance, especially with support, while a group of Town-class cruisers looks stronger. A County might inflict enough damage to force the raider home, although that judgement comes with an admitted preference for the class. Emerald and her five single 6-inch guns look much less convincing as a deterrent on their own.
