Photographs distinguish Emerald's two buff-and-white deployments through small changes in the paint boundaries. On the earlier deployment, buff extended farther down the ship and covered the after turret. On the later deployment, that turret and its lower ring remained white while the superstructure above stayed buff. These details allow two otherwise similar station schemes to be told apart.
