Returning to the Eastern Fleet in December 1943, Sutlej resumed convoy escort in the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal. She then performed anti-submarine work in the Indian Ocean and underwent a Bombay refit before supporting further operations in the Bay of Bengal. For Operation Dracula she joined the amphibious assault on Rangoon as part of its anti-submarine force. The named group was entirely Royal Indian Navy and included HMIS Hindustan. The sequence shows the service carrying responsibility for both sea-lane protection and a major littoral landing in the Burma campaign.
