HMCS Haida is identified as the last surviving Tribal-class destroyer. Britain preserved none of its own ships from the class, leaving the Canadian vessel as the sole surviving example. The ship can be visited in Canada and examined at close range. Haida provides a physical point of reference for the class's design.
