Happo and Jeokjinpo extended the attack on Japanese supply shipping

Follow-on victories at Happo and Jeokjinpo turned Okpo into a campaign against the transport network sustaining Japan's army in Korea.

Notes

After Okpo, the Koreans pursued five escaping ships and destroyed them near Happo. More Japanese supply vessels then appeared at Jeokjinpo, giving Yi another opportunity to reduce the invasion army's ability to resupply. The tactical actions were small compared with later battles, but they demonstrated to Korean crews that victory was possible and established a repeatable operational purpose: attack the maritime logistics on which the land campaign depended.
