At the Battle of Ushant, also called the Battle of Ile de Batz here, Haida and Huron pursued the German destroyer Z32. Z32 ran through a minefield and grounded while trying to escape. Sustained pursuit by the Canadian ships drove the German destroyer ashore. A deliberately comic interpretation treats that pressure as psychological intimidation of the opponent.
