Gibraltar and oil denial shape the plan for war with France

The campaign plan uses Gibraltar to trap opposing ships and targets northern France to disrupt the enemy's oil supply.

Notes

American ships concentrated in the Mediterranean appear exposed if British control of Gibraltar closes their exit. The strait therefore becomes a tool for containing an opposing fleet. In the planned war with France, northern France is targeted because the scenario locates much of French oil production there. Chokepoint control would trap ships while fuel denial reduced their ability to operate.
