Have you read Prisoners of Geography, and what would you recommend alongside it?
Short answerYes; it is useful but debatable, and A World of Whose Making? is a broader economic and political alternative.
NotesPrisoners of Geography is useful, though parts of its argument remain unconvincing. The edited volume A World of Whose Making?: Making the International: Economic Interdependence and Political Order provides a broader route into how economic connections shape political systems. Its scale and collective authorship widen the analysis, while its tendency to separate military power from those relationships remains a limitation. The books work best as a comparison.
