The Genesis Device puts planet-scale power in one unit

The Genesis Device is intended to kickstart a planet's growth, yet its concentrated power can also destroy a planet. One device therefore carries both the useful function and the catastrophic destructive capability. Dividing the task among five or six smaller devices is proposed so none could individually destroy the planet. This is a suggested redesign of the fictional technology.
