Singapore's planned replacements expand from roughly 600-ton Victory corvettes to ships of around 8,000 tons, also substantially larger than the approximately 3,200-ton Formidable frigates. Their design ancestry is linked to the Iver Huitfeldt and Absalon families and the wider Arrowhead approach. The increase in displacement is much greater than the improvement in the parent ship's weapons fit described here. Much of the additional capability comes from coordinating and supporting uncrewed surface vessels and aircraft. Their weapons and sensors contribute to the group's sea-control capability alongside those of the crewed ships. Organic support allows these vehicles to operate with the group instead of sustaining every activity directly from Singapore. The strategic limit remains overwhelming major-power force: Singapore cannot match an opponent bringing several carrier groups into the strait.

Singapore's large corvette replacements support an uncrewed force
The growth from small Victory corvettes to much larger replacements is explained through command and support for uncrewed assets.
