Would French warships use British ports?

Would the French fleet be able to use British ports in a shared war?

Yes; doing so could also release French port capacity for cargo.

The arrangement would give the fleets another logistical option. Moving some naval activity to British ports could leave more space for the merchant traffic sustaining France.
